AKWA IBOM 2019: Divine Mandate - Only God

Akwa Ibom State governor, Gov. Udom Emmanuel unveil his political campaign slogan for 2019 as Divine Mandate - Only God on Friday during his official declaration of intention to run for 2nd term as governor of the state in 2019 general election.

 The event which takes place in Godwill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, witness a massive turnout of youth, the good people of the state and neighbouring states.
Udom urges Akwa Ibom State people not to play politics of anger and hatred as they are about to embark on yet another round of political campaign ahead of 2019 election.




speaking at the event, Senator Bassey Albert, a senator representing Uyo senatorial district in the upper chamber, described Udom as the right choice for Akwa Ibom people in 2019 and says that Uyo people are not ready to miss out in 2023 as the zoning in Akwa Ibom favour them in 2023 for the governorship seat.

He said, "...in 2015 you were the right choice for Akwa Ibom and in 2019 you remain the right choice for Akwa Ibom..."

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, for governor of Kaduna, Ramalan Yero, former governor of Benue, Gabriel Suswan and other former governors and deputy governors of neighbouring states were present to witness the event.
Wike calls on the Akwa Ibom State people to vote for Udom in 2019 and be sure to protect their vote.

Mr Frank Archibong, Chairman Eket L.G.A and chairman Association of Local Government of Nigeria - ALGON, affirmed solitary support of all 31 local government chairmen of the state for Udom in 2019.
"...we were 31 and we are still 31, anyone that wants to overrun Akwa Ibom must first content with 31 of us... you have our support", he said.
Paul Ekpo, Chairman Peoples Democratic Party - PDP, Akwa Ibom chapter also gives the party support to Udom as the only candidate so far for the governorship ticket in the state. "…in 2015 we have G23 but in 2019 we have G1 because you have performs, we will go with you in 2019", he said.

In attendances were; former deputy governor of Akwa Ibom, Chris Ekpenyong, speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Onofiok Luke, PDP national legal adviser, Emmanuel Enoidem and others prominence members of the party.
